The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant lodged a complaint alleging that the petitioner along with other accused, induced him to pay a sum of Rs.17,50,000/- on the pretext of redeeming 217 grams of pledged gold jewels. However, the petitioner and others failed to return the amount, thereby cheated the defacto complainant. Hence, the complaint. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He further submitted that the occurrence took place on 03.12.2025 and the FIR was came to be registered on 17.12.2025. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent police opposed the grant of anticipatory bail stating that the petitioner has one previous case pending against him. 5. I have given anxious consideration to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also perused the records available. 6.
