1. All these appeals have been filed against the same impugned
judgment and award dated 08.04.2026 passed by learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal No.1, Jaipur Metropolitan Second. Claimants in these appeals filed a claim petition for claiming compensation due to road accident. Claim petition filed by claimant-Shivans was registered as 03/2022, claimant-Renu Devi was registered as 05/2022 and claimant-Garvit was registered as
[2026:RJ-JP:25582] (3 of 3) [CMA-3134/2026] 04/2022. In all these claim petitions, the claimants suffered simple injuries, therefore, learned Tribunal has awarded an amount of Rs.5,000/- to each claimant.
2. Section 173(2) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 provides that no appeal shall lie against any award of a Claim Tribunal, if the amount in dispute in the appeal, is less than rupees one lakh.
3. In view of the said provision, the present appeals, which have been filed against the impugned judgment and award, whereby a very meagre amount of Rs.5,000/- to each of the claimants have been awarded, therefore, these appeals are not maintainable, and are liable to be dismissed.
4. It is made clear that this order shall not affect other appeal(s), if any, filed by the appellant against the aforesaid impugned judgment and award.
5. All pending applications, if any, shall also stand dismissed.
6. A copy of this order be placed in each file.
