The affidavit filed by the respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 3 in terms of the orders passed by this Court on 27th January, 2026 and 5th March, 2026 be taken on record. 2. Mr. Mondal, learned advocate for the State has also filed before the Court an order dated 24th March, 2026 passed in terms of the order in WPA 2844 of 2025, on 17th June, 2025. Since, the instant petition was filed complaining failure on the part of the authorities to give effect to the joint inspection conducted on 18th September, 2025 and the subsequent application filed by the petitioner on 7th January, 2026 and since the State authorities has already taken a decision on 24th March, 2026, I am of the view no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the WPA 1426 of 2026 2 municipal authorities to dispose of the petitioner’s application/representation dated 7th January, 2026 wrongly recorded in the orders dated 27th January, 2026 and 5th March, 2026 as 7th January, 2025. 3. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 4. It is expected that the aforesaid decision must be taken by the municipal authorities as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 6 weeks from the date of communication of this order.
