The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to calculate and release interest on the delayed payment of death-cum-retirement gratuity as well as the revised gratuity, strictly in terms of Section 7(3A) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. 2. Perusal of the file shows that for claiming interest on the delayed payment of death-cum-retirement gratuity amount, the representation dated 22.01.2026 and legal notice dated 12.03.2026 (Annexures P-12 & 13) have been addressed only to State Bank of India and not to the employer of the deceased-husband of the petitioner. 3. Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner, wishes to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to approach the competent authority. 4.
