For Petitioner(s): Mr.I.Kowser Nissar For Respondent(s): Mr.D.Ravichander, SGP For R1 to R4 Mr.K.Karthikeyan ,HR and CE For R5 and R6 ORDER This writ petition has been filed to direct the official respondents to issue separate patta in the name of the petitioner’s wife for the property, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner’s last representation dated 08.08.2025. 2.The petitioner claims that he traces the title over the property from the year 1931. According to the petitioner, the predecessor in title had exchanged the subject property, which earlier belonging to the temple and by the exchange of land with the temple, the predecessor in title became the owner of the larger extent of land. Thereafter, through subsequent conveyances, the petitioner has now become the owner of the property, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 8606 of 2026 writ petition. The petitioner seeks for issuance of separate patta in the name of his wife for the property, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition. The petitioner had given several representations and the last such representation was given on 08.08.2025 to the official respondents seeking for transfer of patta in the name of his wife. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents1 to 4. Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondents 5 and 6. 4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner’s representation, as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of respondents 5 and 6 and any other third party whom the fourth respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 8606 of 2026 6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the fourth respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representation dated 08.08.2025 seeking for issuance of separate patta in the name of the petitioner’s wife for the property, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of respondents 5 and 6, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
