(Oral) By means of the present writ petition, petitioners have sought the indulgence of this Court by commanding the respondents to consider the claim of petitioners for revision of salary/honorarium at par with the Data Entry Operator working in different government departments and projects through UPNL and consequently pay the revised salary/honorarium with all consequential benefit including arrears of difference of salary/honorarium from due date i.e. from the date of initial engagement of petitioners. 2. Petitioners are working as a contractual Data Entry Operator in different Block Resource Centers (B.R.C.s) of District Nainital since 2010-2020. Initially, petitioners were being paid ₹5,500/- per month as consolidate remuneration, which was enhanced from time to time and at present they are getting ₹18,000/- as remuneration. The petitioners claimed parity with Data Entry Operator who were engaged with the respondent- Department through U.P.N.L. and are getting a monthly remuneration of ₹27,299.63/-. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that since the petitioners are discharging the same function as are being discharged by the Data Entry Operator employed through U.P.N.L. therefore they are entitled to get the same remuneration on the basis of “equal pay for equal work”. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the case of the petitioners is squarely covered by the judgment and order dated 14.07.2026 passed in WPSS No.1808 of 2026 Kamlesh Kumar Vs. State of Uttarakhand and Others and Batch of writ petitions. 5. Learned State Counsel did not dispute the aforesaid fact. 6. In such view of the matter, writ petition is finally disposed of, in terms of judgment and order dated 14.07.2026 passed in WPSS No.1808 of 2026 Kamlesh Kumar Vs. State of Uttarakhand and Others and Batch of writ petitions. Petitioners are permitted to file representation(s) ventilating their grievances regarding equal pay for equal work at par with the Data Entry Operator engaged through U.P.N.L. within ten days’ from today and if such representation(s) is submitted by the petitioners individually, respondent no.2 shall decide the same within a period of eight weeks’ from the date of receipt of the representations, strictly in accordance with law.
