The petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. The FIR is starkly different from the claims of the prosecution as per the charge sheet. In the absence of the petitioner, some silver articles were allegedly seized from the house of the brother of the petitioner. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. She relies on the statement of the victim who was allegedly abducted by the accused. The statement explicitly names two accused along with other unnamed accused. One of them is the present petitioner, the other one is one Sk. Muktar and the bail application of Sk. Muktar was rejected by a 2 coordinate Bench of this Court on 28.01.2026 in CRM (M) 2854 of 2025. He is still in custody. 3. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. 5. The personal appearance of the Investigating Officer is noted and is dispensed with. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
