1. Affidavit of service as filed be kept on record. In spite of service, none appears for the State.
2. The petitioner‟s application for transfer on the ground of spouse‟s medical has allegedly been pending since November, 2025. The petitioner‟s husband is suffering from cancer on account of which transfer seems imminent.
3. The application, however, seems to have been made by way of a representation and not in terms of the prescribed format. The petitioner is directed to make an application in the prescribed format by May 10, 2026 before the school authorities.
4. The school authority will consider the application and take necessary steps to give the „no objection‟
2 and declaration and forward the same to the DI by May 30, 2026, if the petitioner is found to be otherwise eligible.
5. The concerned DI will deal with the matter as expeditiously as possible, positively by June 30,
2026.
6. The suspension of the “Utsashree Portal” will not be an impediment for the school or the DI to consider the application of the petitioner in the off-line mode.
7. I make it clear that the school and the DI will deal with the application of the petitioner for transfer strictly in line with the dictum of this Hon‟ble Court in Gokul Chandra Mallick vs. State of West Bengal and others in MAT 1218 of 2024 and Rupak Dhua vs. State of West Bengal & Others in FMA 995 of
2025.
8. With the aforestated direction, the writ petition bearing WPA 1684 of 2026 is disposed of.
9. There will be no order as to costs.
10. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
