This Civil Miscellaneous Petition filed under Section 148 of C.P.C., to extend the time granted by this Court for depositing 50% of the award amount in CMP(MD)No.1731 of 2023 in CMA(MD)No.175 of 2023, dated 21.02.2023. ORDER The above petition has been filed seeking extension of time to comply with the order passed by this Court in CMP(MD)No.1731 of 2023 in CMA(MD)No.175 of 2023, dated 21.02.2023. 2. It is not in dispute that this Court at the time of admission, granted interim stay on condition that the appellant/Insurance company shall deposit 50% of the award amount along with accrued interest and cost to the credit of M.C.O.P.No.1335 of 2013 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Special District Judge, Trichy, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of that order, failing which, interim stay granted shall vacated automatically without further reference to this Court. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, by oversight, the petitioner has not deposited 50% of the award amount as directed by this Court. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be an order of interim stay on condition that the petitioner/Insurance company shall deposit the entire award amount with interest and cost on or before 09.04.2026. 5.Issue fresh notice to the 7th respondent to correct address returnable by 09.04.2026. Private notice is also permitted. 6.Post on 09.04.2026, for reporting compliance.
