ORAL ORDER
The petitioner stands trial in CC No.11671/2022 for the offences punishable under the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and these penal proceedings are pending on the file of the II Additional Civil Judge and JMFC, Devanahalli. The petitioner seeks directions to the Regional Passport Office to consider his application and to issue a passport. Sri Lakshmikanth K, the learned counsel for the petitioner, argues that there are no specific allegations against the petitioner, and the FIR/chargesheet is against multiple persons.
However, Smt. Sinchana M R, the learned counsel for the respondent, rightly points out that the passport authority cannot go into these questions and this authority must consider the petitioner's application if there is permission from the Court to travel. These submissions are taken on record, and the petition stands disposed of with liberty to the

petitioner to approach the passport authority once there is permission to travel, from the Court in the pending proceedings.
