Shri Ram Singh Chhatri Aged About 49 Years Then Saving Bank Clerk, At Aadim Jaati Seva Sahakari Samiti, Khodri (Registered No. 3083), R/o Khodri, Pendra Road/gaurela, District Bilaspur (C.G.), Present R/o Indra Chowk, Khodri, Pendra Road/gaurela, District Bilaspur (C.G.) (Wrongly Mention As Khedri In Order Sheet) .. Petitioner(s) versus The Union of India Through Superintendent Of Police, Central Bureau Of Investigation, Acb District Raipur (C.G.) ... Respondent(s) For Petitioner : None. For Respondent : None. Hon'ble Shri Ramesh Sinha , Chief Justice Order on Board 04.05.2026 1. This is an office reference. 2. This Court, vide order dated 21.11.2024, passed in MCRC No. 7735 of 2024, while allowing the bail of the applicant, namely, Bhupendra Singh Kshatriya @ Bhupendra Thakur had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 2 3. Earlier on two occasions also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 21.11.2024. 4. The learned Special Judicial Magistrate (C.B.I), Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 08.04.2026 has requested for grant of 08 months time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in the present matter, effective progress of the trial has been impeded due to multiple procedural and administrative reasons, including non-service of summons and bailable warrants upon certain witnesses, change/transfer of the Presiding Officer during the pendency of the proceedings and the fact that examination of approximately 20 prosecution witnesses are still pending. These circumstances, being beyond the control of the trial Court, have resulted in unavoidable delay in concluding the trial within the prescribed period. Hence, the trial could not be completed within the stipulated time, therefore, it is most respectfully prayed that a further period of 08 months be granted to the trial court to conclude the same. 6. The request made by the trial Court is allowed. However, this Court deems it appropriate to grant a further period of 05 months, instead of 08 months, from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-- (Ramesh Sinha) Chief Justice Preeti
