According to petitioner, he is a vegetable seller. By means of this writ petition, he has sought the following reliefs:- “i. Issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to forthwith remove the debit freeze from the petitioner’s Savings Account No. 4693000100059830 maintained with Punjab National Bank, Niranjanpur Sabzi Mandi Branch, Dehradun. ii. Direct the respondents to retain only the disputed amount of Rs.980 and permit the petitioner to operate the remaining balance. iii. Direct the respondents to communicate the order under which the account has been frozen.” 5. Mr. Ashish Joshi, learned counsel for Punjab National Bank was given time to get instructions. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by permitting the petitioner to make representation by 07.08.2026. If such representation is made to the Branch Manager concerned, he shall take decision thereupon, as per law, within one week thereafter.
