By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs:- (i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari, quashing the impugned order dated 1.3.2023 passed by respondent no. 4 (Annexure No. 1 to this writ petition). (ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari, quashing the impugned scrutiny report dated 23.1.2023 issued by scrutiny committee (Annexure No. 5 to this writ petition). 4. Permanent resident certificate of the petitioner was cancelled on the recommendation of District Level Caste Scrutiny Committee. The order, whereby his permanent resident certificate was cancelled, has been challenged in this writ petition. 5. Learned State Counsel has UKHC010041732023 2026:UHC:7427 produced in Court Government Order dated 31.10.2023 issued by Secretary, Social Welfare Department. Clause 8 of the said order provides that against the decision taken by District Level Caste Scrutiny Committee, appeal shall lie before the State Level Caste Scrutiny Committee. 6. Since petitioner has remedy of appeal before State Level Caste Scrutiny Committee, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to approach the State Level Caste Scrutiny Committee. If petitioner files appeal within three weeks, State Level Caste Scrutiny Committee shall take decision thereupon, as per law, within six months after hearing all the stakeholders.
