Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this writ petition, the petitioner has inter alia prayed for the following relief:- “a. That the respondents may very kindly be directed to consider the case of the petitioner for employment on compassionate grounds at the earliest.” 2. When this case was taken up for consideration, the Court stands informed that the Clause in the policy, upon which the petitioner is relying, has been held to be bad in law by the Court. 3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that perusal of the reply filed by the respondents-State would demonstrate that in 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2026:HHC:16073- para-10 thereof, they have made an averment that the policy of Part Time Water Carrier has been replaced with new policy, namely, the Part Time Multi Task Worker, 2020 and the petitioner can apply under the same and if found eligible, he will be offered appointment. In this backdrop, learned Counsel prays that it will be in the interest of justice, in case, the petitioner is permitted to approach the respondents with such prayer within a period of four weeks from today and respondents be directed to take a call upon the same sympathetically, within some reasonable time thereafter. 4. In light of the submissions made by learned Counsel for the petitioner, without adjudicating upon the merit of the case, this petition is disposed of with the direction that if the petitioner applies for employment under the Part Time Multi Task Worker, 2020, within a period of four weeks from today, appropriate call thereupon be taken within 12 weeks as from the date of receipt thereof by taking a sympathetic view.
