JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned Additional Government Advocate is directed to take notice for all the respondents. 2. It is the contention of the petitioner that the petitioner has purchased 1 acre and 8 guntas of land in Sy.No.154 of Goruru Village, Madhihalli Hobli, Beluru Taluk under registered Sale Deed dated 22.03.1989. Thereafter, the name of the petitioner was entered in the revenue records in terms of MR No.4/1988-89 as found at Annexure-D RTC of the year 1996-97 to 2000-01. However in the latest RTC, in column No.9, it is reflected as a "Bhoodana" and in column No.10, there is a mention of MR No.T6/2017-2018 dated 14.05.2018 "partition". The petitioner has given representation to the Tahsildar, Belur Taluk to remove the illegal entries and to enter the name - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:19843 WP No. 9185 of 2026 of the petitioner in the revenue records. The same has not been considered by the Tahsildar. 3. Learned Additional Government Advocate submits that such a representation cannot be considered by the Tahsildar. If any illegal entry is found in the RTC, the petitioner will have to file an appeal before the Assistant Commissioner under Section 136(2) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 (for short 'the Act'). 4. The submission of the learned Additional Government Advocate is accepted. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioner to approach the Assistant Commissioner by filing an appeal under Section 136(2) of the Act, to redress her grievance. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:19843 WP No. 9185 of 2026 Learned Additional Government Advocate is permitted to file memo of appearance within a period of four weeks from today.
