Petitioners were appointed as Assistant Teacher in a school run by Basic Education Board, U.P. Petitioners were conferred status of Government servant under Section 58 of Uttarakhand School Education Act. 4. According to petitioners, they were adjusted in the cadre of Assistant Teacher, L.T. Grade in the year 2011 and 2014 respectively. 5. By means of this writ petition, petitioners have sought the following relief:- “(i) To issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondents to forthwith grant the Selection Grade of Pay (Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/-) to the petitioners from due date, details whereof is given in Para 4 of the writ petition, along with arrears of the same.” UKHC010146452026 2026:UHC:7573 6. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that similar issue has been decided by coordinate Bench of this Court in a writ petition. 7. Learned State Counsel, however, disputes the said contention and submits that the facts of that case are distinguishable. He, however, submits that if petitioner has any grievance, he can make representation to the competent authority. 8. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioners to make representation to respondent no. 3. If they make representation within two weeks from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within four months thereafter.
