Since common questions of law and fact are involved in these petitions, therefore, they are being heard and decided together. However, for the sake of brevity and convenience, facts of WPMS No. 3208 of 2018 alone are being considered and discussed. 5. Petitioner was issued licence for selling Mutton by Zila Panchayat, Uttarkashi for the Financial Year 2018- 19. The said licence was, however, cancelled by the Tax/Revenue Collector, Zila Panchayat, Uttarkashi vide order dated 09.10.2018. Thus, feeling aggrieved, petitioner has approached this UKHC010171512018 2026:UHC:7098 Court. 6. Coordinate Bench granted interim order staying effect and operation of the impugned cancellation order. 7. Learned counsel for the respondent points out that the validity period of the licence issued to petitioner expired on 31.03.2019, therefore, the relief, as claimed in the writ petition, do not survive. 8. This Court finds substance in the said contention. Since the licence was granted to petitioner(s) for a limited period, therefore, upon expiry of that period, the claim, sought in the writ petition, do not survive. 9. The writ petitions are, however, disposed of with liberty to petitioners to apply afresh for licence to the Competent Authority and if they make such application(s), the same shall be dealt with, as per law.
