The petitioner is an accused in connection with Macluskiganj P.S. Case No.26 of 2025. It has been alleged that the petitioner and co-accused Sanjay Kumar Das were apprehended by the police with arms and ammunitions. On their confession, they were taken to the jungle for recovery of the incriminating articles but the petitioner had snatched the pistol and fired at the police personnel. In retaliation, the petitioner was struck with a bullet on his leg which resulted in his becoming injured. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 11.11.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Regard being had to the period of custody undergone by the petitioner and the fact that no injury was suffered by any police personnel and it was the petitioner who had suffered a bullet injury on his leg, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned J.M-XVII, Ranchi in connection with Macluskiganj P.S. Case No.26 of 2025, subject to the conditions that one of the bailors should be a close relative of the petitioner apart from the fact that the petitioner shall appear before the learned trial Court on each and every date, till conclusion of trial.
