IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 2539 of 2026 Dilwar Bodra … … Petitioner Versus The State of Jharkhand … Opposite Party ------- CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY ------- For the Petitioner : Mr. Gautam Kumar, Adv. For the Opp. Party : None ------- 02/30.03.2026 Heard Mr. Gautam Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner. None appears on behalf of the State. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Bandgaon P.S. Case No.04 of 2024. The accused persons were suspected to have committed the murder of the son of the informant and of having thrown the dead body in the forest. The petitioner seems to have been implicated on the confession of the co-accused Sukhram Ghutiya Purty, consequent to which the petitioner had also confessed. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that save and except the confessional statement, there is no other material which would indicate about the complicity of the petitioner in committing the murder. Learned counsel submits that one of the similarly situated accused persons namely Poglo Hembrom has been granted bail in B.A. No. 6987 of 2025. It has also been stated that out of 27 witnesses, 3 witnesses have been examined so far and the petitioner is in custody since 26.02.2024. Regard being had to the manner of implication of the petitioner and the fact that one of the co-accused similarly situated has been granted bail, as noted above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, West Singhbhum in connection with Bandgaon P.S.
