The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the Respondent No.2 in not considering and disposing of the representation dated 05.08.2026 for enhancing subsistence allowance from 50% to 75%, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The Petitioner was initially appointed as Police Constable in the year 1991 and in course of time was promoted as Circle Inspector. Thereafter, the petitioner moved to Treasuries and Accounts Department and eventually posted as Deputy Director and Joint Secretary (Finance Officer) at the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Institutions Society. While so, Respondent No.3 registered a criminal case under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 with regard to disproportionate assets. On those allegations, the petitioner placed under suspension vide G.O.Rt.No.147, dated 25.07.2023 and suspension is continuing till date. While so, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 05.08.2026 to the Respondent No.2 to enhance subsistence allowance from 50% to 75%. As the representation of the Petitioner is not being considered by the Respondent No.2, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that the representation of the Petitioner would be examined and communicated the decision to the Petitioner. 3 4. Heard the respective counsel. 5. The present Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions: i) The Respondent Authorities are directed to examine and dispose of the representation of the Petitioner dated 05.08.2026 for enhancement of subsistence allowance and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. ii) There shall be no order as to costs.
