This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondent authorities in deciding the online application dated 31.1.2024 filed by him for issuing character certificate. 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that raising his grievances the petitioner has filed the online application dated 31.1.2024 before the respondent No.2/Superintendent of Police, District-Ghazipur, however the same has not yet been decided by the said authority. 4. Upon due consideration, we are of the view that the respondent No.2/Superintendent of Police, District-Ghazipur should be directed to decide the aforesaid application. 5. Accordingly, the respondent No.2/Superintendent of Police, District-Ghazipur is directed to look into the matter and decide the online application of the petitioner dated 31.1.2024 within a period of eight weeks from date. 6.
