This writ petition has been filed with the following prayer: "1) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authority i.e. Sub-Divisional Officer, Deoria to conclude the pending proceedings under section 24 of U.P. Revenue Code and demarcate the arazi no.29 area 1.2260 hectare of petitioners situated at village Madaria, Tappa Tarkulwa (Shahjahanpur), Tehsil and District Deoria in pursuance to the settlement map by the order of Additional District Magistrate (Administration), Deoria dated 20.09.2024 within stipulated period;" 2. It is contended that proceedings under Section 24 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 are pending consideration before respondent no.5- Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, Deoria. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is to expeditiously conclude the aforesaid proceedings. 3. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending or issuing notice to the private respondents, the writ petition is being disposed of, at the admission stage, without calling for counter affidavit, with a direction upon respondent no.5- Sub-Divisional Officer, Sadar, Deoria to conclude the proceedings which are pending consideration under Section 24 of U.P. Revenue Code 2006, in accordance with law, after hearing all affected parties, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 4. With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
