Heard Sri Anil Kumar Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State and perused the record. 2. By means of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner seeks a writ in the nature of mandamus to command respondent nos. 2 to 4 to take appropriate action for removing illegal encroachment made by some private respondents, who have been impleaded as respondent nos. 5 to 9, who according to the petitioner are 'Bhoomafias' 3. It is contended that the petitioner has got his application registered on official portal of District Magistrate in the light of Government Order and the report has also been obtained upon the same and yet no action has been taken in the matter. 4. In our considered view, once petitioner's application has been registered on official portal of District Magistrate in pursuance to Government Order, the District Magistrate or the concerned competent authority is required to take final decision in the matter of complaint 5. In view of above, we dispose of this petition, at this stage, only with a direction that the concerned competent authority namely, District Magistrate or the concerned official under him shall take final decision within a maximum period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
