1. As per Office report, court notice has been served upon the petitioner, however, no one has put in appearance on his behalf, to argue the writ petition on merits.
2. Heard counsel for respondents and perused the record.
3. Instant writ petition was filed by and on behalf of petitioner wayback on 05.04.2006 under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, challenging the awarding of contract for production and collection of Papad Khar for the year 2005-06 in favour of respondent No.5 and seeking to award contract to the petitioner, fundamentally on the ground that for the preceding year i.e.
[2025:RJ-JP:8230] (2 of 2) [CW-2990/2006] 2004-05, petitioner stood highest bidder, and the contract was awarded to him, however for the next succeeding year, contract has been awarded to the private respondent No.5 arbitrarily and in collusive manner.
4. Having considered the grievance of petitioner and the fact that the term of contract for a period of 2005-06 has already expired, it appears that with efflux of time, prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, has rendered infructuous.
5. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is hereby dismissed.
6. Pending application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of.
