HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD CRIMINAL MISC. WRIT PETITION No. - 21672 of 2025 Court No. - 44 HON'BLE J.J. MUNIR, J. HON'BLE SANJIV KUMAR, J. Heard Mr. Ajay Singh Yadav, learned Counsel for the petitioner in support of this writ petition at great length, Mr. Rajendra Prasad, learned Counsel on behalf of respondent No.4 and Ms. Divya Ojha, learned AGA on behalf of the State. A perusal of the impugned FIR shows that the informant's daughter was subjected to cruelty in connection with demand of dowry. The informant was conveyed the fact that his daughter's in-laws was beating her. The information came on 09.09.2025 at 1:30 p.m. The informant went over to his daughter's place only to find her dead. Ms. Divya Ojha, learned AGA has produced the autopsy report relating to the deceased which shows the cause of death to be "asphyxia as a result of antemortem hanging". The marriage took place on 02.03.2024 and the informant's daughter died on 09.09.2025, to wit, within a year and a few months of marriage in her husband's home. The death was an unnatural one. The background of allegations relating to demand of dowry against the in-laws at once require investigation. In our considered opinion, this is not a case where we ought to interfere in the exercise of our jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Versus Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ajay Singh Yadav Counsel for Respondent(s) : G.A., Rajendra Prasad, Ravi Shankar Shukla Komal Chandra And 7 Others .....Petitioner(s) State Of Uttar Pradesh And 3 Others .....Respondent(s) In the result, writ petition is dismissed.
