1. The petitioners have filed the present writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to promote the petitioners as Lecturer History from the date their junior-respondent No.3 has been promoted along with all consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already served a legal notice dated 21.05.2025 (Annexure P-8) on the respondents and he shall be satisfied in case, appropriate directions are issued to the respondents to decide their legal notice dated 21.05.2025 (Annexure P-8) in a time bound manner.

5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record carefully.

At this stage, respondent No.2 is directed to decide the legal notice dated 21.05.2025 (Annexure P-8) submitted by the petitioner, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, by passing a speaking and well reasoned order. In case, the petitioners are found entitled to the relief claimed in the instant petition, the same shall be released to them along with a reasonable rate of interest forthwith.
7. The present petition is disposed of, accordingly.
