The short grievance projected by the petitioner in the instant petition is that the respondents issued an updated tentative seniority list of Officers/Officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation and the petitioner is also an Officers/Official of Jammu Municipal Corporation working as Enforcement Inspector and has not been placed inappropriately in the said seniority list, as such, submitted objections thereto on 22.09.2025, however, the respondents without considering the said objections are contemplating to frame the final seniority list detrimental to the rights of the petitioner. 2. In view of the short nature of controversy involved in the petition inasmuch as the relief sought thereof, the counsel for the petitioner would seek disposal of the petition at this stage with an innocuous direction to the respondents to address to the objections filed to the updated tentative seniority list dated 02.09.2025 before framing the final seniority list. In view of the innocuous nature of prayer made by the counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is taken up for final disposal at this stage and is, accordingly, disposed of with the direction to the respondents to address to the objections claimed to have been submitted by the the petitioner to the updated tentative seniority list dated 02.09.2025 before issuing final seniority list. 4. It is made clear that the Court did not any express any opinion on the merits of the case and the respondents shall be free to advert to the aforesaid objections of the petitioner on its own merits. 5.
