CRL OP No. 25670 of 2025 ORDER The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet at chennai, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.483 of 2015 within the stipulated time.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that based on the complaint lodged by the de facto complainant, a case in Crime No.1963 of 2014 was registered by the respondent for the offence under Sections 294(b), 353 and 506(ii) of IPC. After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed and taken cognizance in the year 2015 in C.C.No.483 of 2015 on the file of the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet at chennai. However, despite the lapse of time, there has been no progress in the trial. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose of the case.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case that the case pertains to the year 2014 and despite the filing of the charge sheet in the year 2015, the trial is still pending, the learned XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet at chennai, is directed to complete the trial in C.C.No.483 of 2015 as expeditiously as possible.
