HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - C No. - 33247 of 2025 Court No. - 29 HON'BLE MAHESH CHANDRA TRIPATHI, J. HON'BLE ANISH KUMAR GUPTA, J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State respondent no. 1 and Sri Yash Padia, learned counsel for the respondent no. 2/KDA. 2. The instant writ petition has been preferred for a mandamus directing the respondent to grant 18% interest on the amount of Rs. 90,000/- refunded by Kanpur Development Authority to the petitioner from the deposit i.e. 17.11.1999 till date of refund i.e. 20.06.2024. 3. After substantial arguments once the Court has declined to interfere, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly states that the instant writ petition may be dismissed as not pressed. However, leave may be accorded to approach the competent authority for redressal of his grievance on the basis of indemnity bond furnished by the petitioner, which had been acted upon by the Authority. Learned counsel for the contesting-respondent has no objection to the same. 4. Consequently, the writ petition stands dismissed as not pressed with the aforesaid leave.
