The present application has been filed by Respondent No. 1/Applicant herein seeking release of the Fixed Deposit (FD) deposited by the appellant with the Registry of this Court in compliance of the directions passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in its judgement dated 18.10.2023 (impugned herein). 2. It has been submitted that the notice in the present appeal was issued subjected to the deposit as directed vide Order dated 01.04.2024 reiterating the directions passed in the impugned judgement. 3. Ms. Anu Mehta, learned counsel for the respondent no.1/applicant submits that this Court vide its judgement and order dated 16.01.2025 This is a digitally signed order. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 28/02/2025 at 12:40:22 upheld the order of the learned Single Judge in favour of the respondent no.1/applicant directing the Appellants to release Rs. 50 lakhs to Respondent No.1 within 4 weeks failing which the Appellants would be liable to pay interest at 9%. 4. Learned counsel has also provided the account details of the respondent no.1/applicant for the purpose of releasing and deposition of the said FD amount directly in the bank account of applicant alongwith the interest so accrued thereupon. 5. In that view of the matter, the Registry of this Court, is directed to release the said FD, alongwith the interest so accrued, in the bank account of the applicant, as per the details provided in the present application, as per the applicable procedures and rules, within a week. 6.
