The petition in hand has been preferred under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with the following substantive prayer(s):-
“To issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the lives and personal liberty of the petitioners and family members at the hands of private respondents by taking action on the representation dated 21.08.2025(Annexure P-4 UID No 648586 dated 21.08.2025) because despite of Stay order dated 28.07.2023 (Annexure P-1) passed by Ld. Civil Judge, Junior Division, Gurdaspur, they are trying to grab the property of the petitioners, in the interest of justice.”

Learned counsel for the petitioners after arguing for sometime has limited his prayer by stating that she would be satisfied, for the nonce, if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur) to consider and take a conscious decision on the representation dated 21.08.2025 made by the petitioners (copy whereof has been annexed as Annexure P-4 with the petition in hand) in a time-bound manner.

On the strength of advance copy, Mr. Gurpartap S. Bhullar, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3. He has urged that he has no objection in case limited prayer made by the petitioners, for decision of their representation dated 21.08.2025 (Annexure P-4), is directed for.

Having heard learned counsel for the rival party(s) and upon perusal of the paper-book, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the petition in hand with the following directions: (i) Respondent No.2 (Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur) is mandated to look into the representation dated 21.08.2025 (Annexure P- 4) moved by the petitioners, objectively consider the grievance(s) raised therein & take ratiocinated decision thereupon within a period of 15 days from today. Said decision be conveyed to the petitioners within 7 days thereafter (ii) No order as to costs.
