This Court, vide order dated 09.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 5639 of 2024, while rejecting the bail to the applicant, namely, Abhishek Kerketta and Shivam Paikra, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Ramanujganj District- Balrampur-Ramanujganj (C.G) vide his request letter dated 05.02.2025 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in this case, after receiving the order, the testimony of witness namely Tridev Singh was recorded on September 30, 2024. The case was scheduled for evidence on October 18, 2024, but the witnesses did not appear and no evidence was recorded. On 21.10. 2024, the testimony of witness namely Ramsagar Singh was recorded. The case was again scheduled for evidence on 04.11.2024 and 05.11.2024, but the witnesses did not appear. On November 18, 2024, the testimonies of witnesses namely Yogesh Kumar Paraste and Narayan Tiwari were recorded. On 28.11.2024, the testimony of Ajay Yadav was recorded. The case was scheduled for evidence on December 6, 13, and 20, 2024. On 04.01.2025, the testimony of Head Constable Rajesh Lakda was recorded. On 07.01.2025, the testimony of Sub-Inspector Aradhana Banode was started but postponed due to Court time constraints. Thereafter, the case was scheduled for evidence on January 17, 2025, but the witnesses did not appear. On January 30, 2025, the remaining testimony of Sub- Inspector Aradhana Banode and Head Constable Kranti Lal was recorded and on 05.02. 2025, the statement of the accused was recorded and the case was scheduled for defence evidence on February 10, 2025. Hence the conclusion of the trial is likely to take some more time therefore, he prays for grant of only one month’s time for concluding the same. 3 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
