Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Mango (Olidih) P.S. Case No. 347 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 21(a), 21(b), 21(c), 22(b), 22(c) of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Principal District & Sessions Judge, Jamshedpur. On 22.12.2024, at about 12:00 noon, Mango (Olidih) Police on the basis of confidential information, raided the house of Umesh Kumar Gupta and seized 1200 bottles of Winecerex Cough Syrup and 1080 bottles of Onerex Cough Syrup along with prohibited capsules. It was submitted that petitioner is an auto driver and he was apprehended at the time of raid as his autorickshaw was parked outside the house of main accused person. It was further submitted that petitioner was hired by the accused persons for transporting the seized drugs. Criminal antecedent report of the petitioner earlier called for, has been received, it appears that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. In view of the aforesaid facts, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Principal District & Sessions Judge, Jamshedpur, in connection with Mango (Olidih) P.S.
