1. Prayer in the instant civil writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents No. 2 to 4 to take legal action against respondents No. 6 to 9 in terms of Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (in short '1994 Act') as they (respondents No. 6 to 9) are not cooperating in the work of panchayat of village Littan, District Kapurthala.
2. Learned State counsel, in pursuance to the advance copy of the petition having been served upon the State, appears on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 5 and submits that on the complaint submitted by petitioner against respondents No. 6 to 9, proceedings have already been initiated and a meeting of all the members of panchayat has been called by Block Development Panchayat Officer, Dhilwan, District Kapurthala (respondent No. 4 herein), which is now fixed for 12.09.2025. He further submits that necessary action as per law would be taken in the said meeting and not in any case beyond the period of three weeks thereafter.
3. Keeping in view the aforesaid stand taken by learned State counsel, the instant civil writ petition stands disposed of.
4. Pending application (s), if any, shall also stand closed.
