Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case arising out of FIR No. 0046 dated 23.06.2025, registered under Section 498-A of Indian Penal Code Police Station Women, Amritsar, District Police Commissionerate. This is his first petition for anticipatory bail. 2. Vide order dated 05.09.2025 passed by this Court, the petitioner was granted interim bail and was directed to join investigation. 3. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Poonam Sharma, has submitted that petitioner has joined investigation and is not required for further investigation. 4. Mr. Rahi Mehra, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.2 and filed his power of attorney. Prayer for anticipatory bail has been opposed on the ground that respondent No. 2 was subjected to extreme mental and physical cruelty by the petitioner.
