1. The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Articles 226 of the Constitution of India with the prayer that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the salary of the Petitioner which is pending since July 2024, till date in an expeditious and time bound manner in view of letter Memo No. SBMG- Accts./2025/255 dated 10.01.2025 (P-3) in the interest of justice.
2. Today an affidavit of Rahul Narwal, IAS, Mission, Director, Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen, Rural Development Department, Haryana has been filed, which is taken on record.
3. Learned State counsel referred to paragraph 8 of the affidavit, wherein it is stated that the petitioner’s salary for the months of September, October, and November 2024 has already been paid. CWP-26638-2025 -2- amount of Rs. 2,69,073/- was allocated to the Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad Sonipat, through SNA-SPARSH for the disbursement of the petitioner’s pending salary, which is expected to be released shortly. On instructions from Daljeet Singh, DDPO, it is submitted that the payroll has been prepared and the payment will be released within ten days from today.
4. In the light of above, this Court is of the view that this petition does not warrant any further interference and the same is disposed off having been rendered infructuous.
5. However, if the statement made by learned State counsel is not complied with in letter and spirit, the petitioner shall be at liberty to seek revival of the petition by filing the necessary application, as well as to initiate proceedings for contempt of court in accordance with the law.
