GP FOR REVENUE (AP) 2 The Court made the following order: The present writ petition is filed to questioning the action of the respondents in trying to convert the Cheruvu (Lake) situated in R.S.No.69 of G. Errampalem Village, Rajanagaram Mandal, East Godavari District, into house sites for distribution of the same under Navaratnalu-Pedalandariki Illu Scheme. 2. It is the case of the petitioners that their lands admeasuring an extent of Ac.3.3200 cents in R.S.No.70, an extent of Ac.0.92 cents in R.S.No.71, Ac.3.19 cents in Rs.No.72 and Ac.9.00 cents in R.S.No.68/1, are situated adjacent to the cheruvu (lake) land situated in Sy.No.69 of G.Errampalem Village, RajanagaramMandal, East Godavari District. It is the further case of the petitioners that, they do agricultural operations by drawing water from the lake situated in Sy.No.69 and it is the only source of water for cattles and cultivation. Therefore, the respondents cannot convert the same into house sites without following the procedure established as per law. 3. This Court by order dated 17.03.2020, directed the parties to maintain the status-quo with regard to the subject land i.e., cheruvu (lake) situated in Sy.No.69. The said interim order is subsisting as on today. 3 4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue submitted the written instructions dated 07.03.2025, furnished by the Tahsildar, Rajanagaram, and on perusal of the same, it is clear that there is no proposal for issuance of any notification or to acquire the lands situated in Sy.No.69, which is classified as Cheruvu (Lake), as alternative land to an extent of 14.9 cents was identified in Sy.No.112/3 C (2) for the purpose of house sites. The said written instructions furnished by the 4th respondent are placed on record. 5. In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of as no further orders are necessary in terms of interim order, dated 17.03.2020.
