ORDER 30-04-2025 Heard Shri A. J. Saikia, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Ms. P. Deka,
learned counsel for the claimant. The present application has been filed seeking correction in the order dated 08.03.2025 passed pursuant to an amicable settlement reached in the Lok Adalat held on the said date. It is submitted that though the settled amount was Rs. 3,57,267/-, in the aforesaid order, the amount was written as Rs.7,14,534/-. The learned counsel has also drawn the attention of this Court to the pre settlement Compromise Sheet dated 14.12.2024 which has been annexed as Annexure-A to the IA as well as to the Compromise Sheet itself signed by both the parties on 08.03.2025 wherein the correct amount of Rs.3,57,267/- has been stated. The aforesaid submission has not been opposed by Ms. Deka, the learned counsel for the respondents who submits that may be due to some wrong communication the error has crept in the order. After considering the aforesaid submission and hearing the parties, the order dated 08.03.2025 stands modified by clarifying that the compromise amount is Rs.3,57,267/- and not Rs.7,14,534/- as indicated. This Court has been informed that the amount of Rs.3,57,267/- has already been deposited in the Registry of this Court which may be released to the claimant on being properly identified by his learned counsel. The observation regarding refund of statutory deposit to the appellant company is kept intact.
