The petitioner has preferred the present petition inter alia with the prayer to direct the District Magistrate, Shahjahanpur/respondent no. 2 to decide the representation dated 28.01.2025 and 02.04.2025 made in respect of issuing a firearm license within the time stipulated by this Court. 2. On the other hand it is argued by the learned Standing Counsel that as per Schedule III Part I of the Arms Rules, 2016, the petitioner should have submit an application as provided under the aforesaid Schedule in place of submitting a representation. 3. Heard counsel for the parties and perused the record. 4. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is finally disposed of permitting the petitioner to submit an application form in prescribed format before the respondent no. 2, if such an application has been filed as per format as provided under the Rules, 2016 the Respondent No. 2/District Magistrate, Shahjahanpur is directed to pass appropriate orders on the same strictly in accordance with law expeditiously.
