The petitioner has been made an accused in connection with Katkamsandi P.S. Case No. 226/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 18(b), 21(a), 22(a) and 29 of NDPS Act, 1985, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, NDPS Act, Hazaribag. 3. On 19.10.2024, at about 10:30 P.M., the petitioner alongiwth co- accused persons were apprehended from Momin Mohalla by Katkamsandi police. On search, 13.0 grams of brown sugar was recovered from their joint possession. 4. It was submitted that the quantum of seized contraband comes within the purview of intermediary quantity. It was further submitted that petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. It was finally submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons namely Md. Altaf and Rashid Akhtar have been granted bail by this Court earlier. 5. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, NDPS Act, Hazaribag in connection with Katkamsandi P.S.
