JUDGMENT By means of this writ petition filed in public interest, petitioner has sought following relief:- “1) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to take immediate action for restraining the private respondents and others from encroaching the land/Barren land depicted by Khata No.723 Khasra No.982 Measure 0.0050 Hectare, Khata No.729 Khasra No.980 Measure 0.1020 hectare, Khata No.717 Khasra No.979 measuring 0.0510 hectare & 981 measuring 0.1380 hectare total Measuring 0.296 hectare Village Raisi, Pargana Jawalapur Tehsil Laksar District Haridwar and suitable action be taken against encroachers.” 2. Learned State Counsel points out that petitioner has made a representation to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Laksar, District Haridwar on 11.06.2025 and 30.06.2025, therefore, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate be directed to look into allegation made in the writ petition. 1 2025:UHC:7040-DB 3. We accordingly dispose of the writ petition by directing the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Laksar, District Haridwar to consider the representation made by petitioner, as per law within six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. If the Sub-Divisional Magistrate concerned finds that public land has been encroached by unscrupulous persons, then he shall take necessary steps for removal of such illegal encroachment after issuing 15 days’ notice to encroachers.
