2. The petitioner has filed this application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, with prayer for pre-arrest bail, as he is apprehending arrest in connection with Jajori P.S. Case No.18/2025 registered under Section 21(b)/29(1) of NDPS Act, 1985.

3. Heard Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has raised serious objection, stating that the petitioner is not entitled to anticipatory bail considering the nature of this case.
5. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on the basis of the statement of the co-accused, the petitioner is being searched by the Investigating Officer, despite the fact that the petitioner is not involved in any offence of transportation of contraband.
6. It is further submitted that the contraband seized in connection with this case is of intermediate quantity.
7. I have considered the submission at the bar. I have also scrutinized the case diary.
8. The petitioner is willing to co-operate with the remaining part of the investigation.
9. The petitioner is hereby directed to appear before the learned Special judge within 20 days and apply for bail, which may be considered by the court in accordance with law. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
