JUSTICE ANANT RAMANATH HEGDE) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents. The petition is filed seeking writ of mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2025 marked at Annexures-J and K. In terms of said representation, the petitioner has sought police protection on the premise that he is facing life threat. 2. Learned Government Advocate would submit that such police protection cannot be claimed as of right. Under - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC-K:1555 WP No. 200615 of 2025 what circumstances the police protection can be granted and under what circumstances same has to be rejected, has to be considered by respondent No.3. 3. The respondent No.3 shall consider the representation in accordance with law and thereafter, pass appropriate orders. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. 4.
