PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners herein, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.36 of 2025 of Tadepalli Police Station, Guntur District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS, Act. 2. Brief facts of the case are that, on 23.01.2025, the SI along with his staff and mediators rushed near Krishna Canal Railway Station, Tadepalli Mandal, and caught the accused in possession of 1250 grams 2 of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. 4. Perused the material on record. 5. The petitioner herein was arrested on 23.01.2025 and since then they have been in judicial custody. The quantity of contraband involved in present crime is 1250 grams of Ganja. When ascertained, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner does not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
