It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that auction bid had taken place in respect of fisheries rights over the pond in the year 2024 and petitioner being the highest bidder had deposited the amount, but the bid has not been approved by respondent no.4 till date and the matter is pending consideration. The sole prayer made in the writ petition is for expeditious disposal of the said proceedings. 2. As no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending, or calling for counter affidavit, the matter is being disposed of, at the admission stage, with a direction upon respondent no.4- Up-Ziladhikari, Tehsil- Campierganj, District- Gorakhpur to take final call as regards approval of bid in respect of allotment of village pond (Kakatahi Bhutahia) bearing Gata No.408-N and others, strictly in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. 3. With the aforesaid direction, present writ petition stands disposed of. 4. It is made clear that this Court has not adjudicated the case on merit.
