VINOD S. BHARDWAJ, J. (Oral)
The instant petition has been filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for the grant of regular bail in FIR bearing No.60 dated 13.06.2024, registered under Sections 302, 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Bhikhiwind, District Tarn Taran. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Jatinder Singh, 1152/TT submits that out of the 17 witnesses cited by the prosecution, 8 have been examined while 9 have been given up. He contends that entire prosecution evidence stands closed and the trial is at its fag end. Taking into consideration the fact that the trial is at its fag end, I do not deem it a fit case to grant the concession of regular bail to the petitioner at this stage. Dismissed at this stage.
