Mr. Devendra Singh Bora, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3 According to petitioner, he served as Officiating Principal in a Government Aided College, namely, Pandit Poornanand Tiwari Inter College, Jaspur, District Udham Singh Nagar between 01.04.2015 till his retirement i.e. 31.03.2017. 4. His grievance is that he was not paid salary for duties, which he rendered on higher post, and, he was paid salary only for the post of lecturer, which was his substantive post. 5. By means of this Writ Petition, petitioner has sought a direction to the Competent Authority to pay arrears of salary of Principal grade to petitioner for the aforesaid period. 6. Since petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus and the authorities are yet to apply their mind to the claim staked by the 2025:UHC:1903-DB petitioner, therefore, we think ends of justice would be met if petitioner is permitted to make a representation before the Competent Authority. If petitioner makes such representation within three weeks from today, the Competent Authority shall examine petitioner’s claim as per law and take decision within five months from the date of receipt of such representation. 7.
