When the matter is taken up for consideration on the impleadment application of a certain Ms. Ojaswi Gupta, Mr. S.P. Mahanta, learned Senior counsel assisted by Mr. D. Dkhar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Cantonment Board has submitted that the prayer made in the main writ petition i.e. for mutation of Holding No. 4 J.B in her name, has since been rendered infructuous, in view of the fact that the respondent by letter dated 12.07.2024, has informed the petitioner that the mutation could not be taken up for the reasons stated therein. 2. Mr. M.F. Qureshi, learned counsel for the petitioner has vehemently argued that the manner in which the letter dated 12.07.2024, has been issued is highly questionable, when in fact the application of the petitioner should have been placed before the Board. 3. However, this Court does not deem it fit at this stage to further entertain the matter, as with the issuance of the letter dated 12.07.2024, the writ petition has been rendered infructuous. 4. Writ petition accordingly stands closed and disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file afresh, if so advised. 5. All interim applications also stands disposed of.
