The affidavit of service filed by the petitioner shall be retained in the records. The petitioner seeks a domestic meter connection for his residential property located at Mouza Khodahati, Dag No. 509, P.S. Sonarpur, District 24 Parganas (South). The learned advocate appearing for WBSEDCL submits that the relevant land is classified as wetland, and, as a result, WBSEDCL has declined to provide the connection. It is further submitted that this stand has already been communicated to the petitioner. There is no necessity to keep this writ petition pending. I grant the petitioner the liberty to approach the added respondent by submitting a representation requesting permission for the electricity connection. If the added respondent makes a decision on the matter in accordance with the law within one month from the 2 date of submission of the representation, WBSEDCL shall take further action regarding the electricity connection based on the decision of the added respondent. Accordingly, WPA 3221 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
