(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has a certificate in Sanitary Inspection and ought to be eligible for the post of Multipurpose Health Worker. The respondents by the impugned notification have restricted the eligibility to Diploma in Multipurpose Health Worker for the said post. He submits that the Course of Sanitary Inspection is at par with the Diploma in Multipurpose Health Worker and several States have accepted the same. He has referred to the Advertisements for the post of Multipurpose Health Worker issued by the States of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra (Annexures P-6, P-8 and P-9 respectively). He submits that the petitioner has preferred a representation dated 23.08.2025 (Annexure P-3) before respondent No.1 but no action has been taken thereon and respondent No.1 be directed to consider and decide the same in a time bound manner.
